APPEAL FOR WITNESSES

Police in Dumfries are investigating a spate of vandalisms to cars across the town of Dumfries overnight.  At this stage it appears that 18 or so cars have had windows smashed.  Cars in Newton Road and Findlater Court in Lochside, Dumfries; Church Street; Terregles Street, Terregles Village; Maxwell Street; Ewart Walk and Barnett Road in Heathhall.  Most of the cars have had one window smashed, however a number have had two smashed.  At this stage police are seeking and witnesses to any of the incidents.  In particular they are keen to identify the occupants of a dark coloured saloon car which was seen near the scene of some of the incidents.

Anyone with any information on these incidents is asked to contact police on 0845 600 5701 or any police officer. Information can also be left anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
